For those who can be satisfied with simple answers, the answer is: because it was love at first sight!

For those who want to know bit more:
Silverbow Country Park is a peaceful, idyllic 26 acre country park adorned with trees, shrubs, ponds, secret gardens, mazes, wild meadows attracting wildlife. We love the nature and we were seeking tranquillity and we found it all in this place.
Caravans are separated from each other by shrubs and hedgerows, they all have a small gardens which allows privacy.
The park is a safe place for children - they can spend hours exploring the wild nature just around the corner from our caravan.
Silverbow Country Park is also a safe and friendly place for dogs with a great big meadow where they can run off the lead. Our dog adores it!
Silverbow Country Park has got very good transport connections so it is a great base to travel around Cornwall without being stuck in traffic. And we hate being stuck in traffic. Especially on a sunny day.
Silverbow Country Park is just a short walk from the village of Goonhavern (there is a slightly overgrown PRoW that you can walk if you do not fancy walking along the main road). The village of Goonhavern has a popular pub called the New Inn, this is a dog friendly pub in a traditional Cornish style serving local ales and fresh food. There is a Londis shop (best we've ever seen!) offering groceries and food as well as an off licence. The village also has its own Garden centre which is very well established and offers a huge variety of garden and household products.
Perranporth is only 3 miles away and offers a stunning stretch of beach, a great walk at low tide and one of the best surfing beaches in the country! And we enjoy surfing all year round!
It is just under a 7 mile drive to Newquay which has a full range of tourist attractions.
Our caravan, Porthcurno 4, has got double glazing, central heating and an electric fire place so is warm and cosy even in the winter!
Phew, what's not to love? Come and experience it yourself!
